I joined Christiana’s pilates classes as I had had a bad back for over 20 years, and latterly a sacro-illiac joint problem. I am very pleased to say that the classes have strengthened my core muscles without aggravating any existing problems. I now feel much fitter & more stable, and have been able to stop taking daily anti-inflammatory medication. Christiana is very careful to take us through a suitable warm-up regime, & uses a variety of exercises which are clearly designed to work on particular muscle groups, varying this week by week. The classes are small enough for Christiana to be able to give us individual attention to check that we are doing the exercises in the correct way, & to avoid putting too much strain on the body. Christiana is an excellent Pilates teacher who, as a trained physiotherapist, always has knowledge of individual needs. Groups are small, averaging 6 people ensuring good contact throughout the class.
